The world's largest caldera

Mount Elgon National Park. About 229kms from Kampala, set on the Kenya border near Mbale, the park encompasses the 4,321-metre mountain for which it is named and which has the largest base of any extinct volcano in the world. Afro-montane forest, glassland and moorland habitats makes this park a highly rewarding destination for hikers and other natural history enthusiasts.

Mount Elgon is Africa’s eighth-highest mountain. It offers an excellent introduction Afro-montane climates and vegetation, in the ascent of a 6km wide volcano caldera studded with small waterfalls, caves and hot springs. 

DAY.1.

Picking a client from the airport and it depends the time, we spend a night in Kampala after having our dinner.

DAY. 2.

Briefing a client is our first priority before we make any travel. After our breakfast, we load and start a journey eastern Uganda of where the mountain Elgon found. WE have the lunch on the way, When we reach there we start with nature walk after check in to the hotel. And after we come back to the hotel and have dinner and rest.

DAY 3.

Very early in the morning we always get ready for’’ Hiking the Elgon’’ up to the top, and viewing the nature on the mountain, it’s such an experience because Mount Elgon is the worlds’ caldera. At Mount Elgon we can be able to watch the different types of birds while moving on top.

DAY. 4.

Early in the morning we travel to Sipi falls on the other side of Mount Elgon near the border of Kenya. We able to go for experiencing the Sipi falls by abseiling to the falls down, after lunch we spend a night there and get camp fire, dinner and rest.

DAY. 5.

We get back to the road and drive back to Kampala hotel, but still on our way coming back to Kampala, we stop by and get our lunch before moving on. After we drive back to Kampala.

DAY.6. After having our breakfast we LOAD the car and go for shopping if a client needs that, we go to Kampala city and do shopping, after we take our lunch and travel direct to airport, but still on our way we stop by in order for viewing the lake victoria, and then after we proceed to Entebbe international airport.
