Rwenzori Mountains National Park, about 398km from Kampala. The park protects the eastern slopes and glacial peaks of the famous Rwenzori Mountains of the moon, a world-class hiking and mountaineering destination, whose significance as a source of the Nile was first discovered by the geographer Ptolemy circa 150AD. Rising from the Rift Valley floor to the wintry elevation of 5,109m, the Rwenzori supports large tracts of evergreen and bamboo forests, while the high moorland zone know as giant heathers, lobelias and groundsels.
DAY 1.
Mountain Rwenzori National Park is found in southern western Uganda which is near the blue mountain of Congo, and also close to Queen Elizabeth national park. Climbing on the mountain Ruwenzori up to margarita peak of 5109m it’s such a mystical challenge.
The journey begins from Entebbe international airport, and after we check in to the hotel in Kampala for a night.
DAY 2.
We wake up very early in the morning and take a ride to Kasese town which is the biggest town around Rwenzori region, but still on the way we stop by to fort portal for lunch. The journey takes 10 hours’ drive from Kampala to Kasese. After reaching there we spend a night in kasese hotel.
DAY 3.
Early in the morning after breakfast, we start our travel walking and climbing the mountain with the help of the tour guides. On the way walking there are so many amazing things to see like. Bird watching, some wild animals like squirrels, Golden monkeys and etc. After on the way we take our lunch, evening dinner and rest.
DAY 4.
After breakfast, we walk again and continue climbing the mountain, it’s a fun and amazing, after we take lunch, after we continue to walk towards to margarita peak, then we experience the nature and the snow on top of the Rwenzori Mountain. We spend a night there.
DAY 5.
After breakfast in the morning, we take a route and travel back, still we get lunch, dinner and spend a night on the way, but still on the way there’s amazing things to see like the beautiful stones which erupted by fire.
DAY. 6.
We continue our journey to kasese town and spend a night there to the hotel, but before that, we have to take lunch and a dinner at the hotel in kasese. After we rest and get ready for next day.
DAY. 7.
In the morning we get into our truck take a drive back to Kampala, but all our meals we are having on the way to Kampala , and that journey still takes like 10 hours to Kampala. When we reach, we have to spend a night to Kampala hotel, of where have our dinners before sleep.
DAY. 8.
After our breakfast, we can go for shopping if a client needs that and after we can have lunch in Kampala. After our lunch we proceed to airport and stop by in order for viewing the Lake Victoria according to client’s flight time.
